Just outside Chicago, we updated a family home with finishes, fixtures, and details to round out and add depth to the client’s minimal tastes. Working closely with a team that made updates to the bedrooms, kitchen, and landscape, Pigeon Studio developed a contemporary scheme of sparing color and bright details, grounded in a material palette rich in visual texture. In the largest bath, marble subway tile cuts against deep navy walls, the contrast balanced by brass details. In another room across the hall, gray tiles set against eggshell-white walls produce a light, airy space. Graphic tiling used throughout tie the bath spaces together.
